Big changes may be coming to Owensville Ohio. On June 22, 2026, the Owensville Village Council met to hear public input on the Owensville potential Planned Unit Development (PUD) “BOSTON VILLAGE”, a high-density subdivision. This is by far the biggest land development proposal for Owensville in the last 35 years.
THE MEETING WAS CANCELLED DUE TO AN ERROR IN THE NOTICES PREVIOUSLY SENT OUT.
THE MEETING IS RESCHEDULED FOR MONDAY JULY 13, 2026.
What is being proposed?
Developing 55.4 acres that lies between S.R. 132 and S.R. 276. Building 205 houses, 12 feet apart on those 55.4 acres.
The owners of these acres have requested annexation into Owensville Village. Stonelick Township Zoning prevents high-density PUDs. Owensville Village has its own zoning. Owensville has sewage, but these acres are not currently accessible for sewage. Sewage would need to be run to these acres. Sewage being so close maybe why Owensville has become the target of high-density subdivision development.
At the bottom of this article is a picture which contains the names and addresses of the three landowners of the 55.4 combined acres.
