Where Is Jean Schmidt Getting All Her Campaign Funds?
April 29, 2026
Jean Schmidt is spending a lot of money to be reelected to the Ohio House of Representatives. If she wins, this will be her final term as dictated by Ohio Term Limit Laws. I have heard radio ads, received multiple robo-calls, text messages, seen YouTube ads, heard radio ads and bombarded by oversized mailers. I have been subjected to so much marketing that I wonder how much all this costs and who is funding this campaign. So, as a service to the people of Clermont County Ohio, Citizen Sentinels has taken a deep dive into the sources of Schmidt’s campaign funding.

How much is being spent? Jean Schmidt represents District 62 which has approximately 37,000 households with Republican or No Party declared voters. This figure is according to 2026 Voter Rolls downloaded from the Ohio Secretary of State website. This is her target market for mailers. I’ve counted at least 12 oversized mailers sent. Mailers for that number of households costs between $6000 and $10,000 each according to 3 different sources, depending on who does the printing and mailing. Add to that estimate the robo-calls, cell texts, radio ads and YouTube ads. The cost goes up. How much? I have no idea, but it’s probably a lot.

As you read on, keep in mind big money always comes with terms and conditions. Nothing is for free.

Schmidt’s campaign is mostly funded from the following PACs or organizations, OHRA, OHROC and American Conservatives Fund. You can read these acronyms on her mailers.

Her biggest contributor is Ohio House Republican Alliance, aka OHRA. The incumbent Ohio House Representatives each contribute to OHRA along with big businesses, such as energy companies, hospitals, beer and wine industry and wealthy doners. Many contributors are big corporations that constantly lobby for their own self interests. This is the Republican Campaign War Chest, millions of dollars which keep them elected. The OHRA funds are controlled by the Speaker of the House. Schmidt also gets donations from the Ohio Republican Organizational Committee, aka OHROC, another War Chest.

As a side note, according to Transparency USA, in 2020 Schmidt received $13,292.35 from Larry Householder directly to her PAC Schmidt for Ohio. Didn't Speaker Householder get into some kind of trouble for some kind of crookedness? Do some research.

Here is an eye opener. Information from the Federal Elections Commission (FEC), shows one of Schmidt’s biggest contributors is American Conservatives Fund. This fund receives contributions through a PAC, Win for America. Win for America receives large donations from the following 4 entities, among others.

1) DK Holdings is also known as DraftKing, a digital entertainment leader specializing in online Fantasy Sports, Sports betting, and Casino products
.
2) Rowagton Renewables LLC, a “Solar Farm Broker”.

3) Summit Management Services Inc, a nationwide High End Property Management firm.

4) American Future PAC. A Democrat PAC.

You may remember, in 2023 Schmidt was one of the Blue 22. Derek Merrin initially was the Conservative choice for Speaker of the House. However, Schmidt along with 21 other RINO’s voted with the Democrats to elect Jason Stephens, not a Conservative. Remember the Speaker of the House controls the OHRA funds.

Now you can see part of the web of who owns who, and who owes who. In the end, if she is reelected, when Schmidt votes on bills in Columbus, will she be thinking of you or serving her campaign donors? In her own words taken from a recent speech, “ It’s just common sense”.

Below are links to the sources of the above Schmidt campaign information. If you don’t want to navigate the confusing websites, plug any of the above PACs into Google AI. You’ll get an eyeful.
